The Mastercycler Thermal Cycler made by Eppendorf
Technical details of Eppendorf Mastercycler Thermal Cycler
The Mastercycler gradient is the ideal instrument when PCR reactions have to be optimized because one of its top features is the gradient function. With a maximum spread of 20°C across the block all temperatures in a PCR program can be evaluated for their efficiency, which is especially useful when annealing temperatures for primers have to be determined. The SteadySlope technology provides the user with superior and rapid rates for temperature increases and decreases. This facilitates the transfer of gradient PCR reactions to standard protocols.
Eppendorf Mastercycler Thermal Cyclers have a further special feature: the personal card system. On memory cards (chip-based) every user can carry around his individual protocols between different Eppendorf Mastercycler thermal cycler workstations and work independently. No need to say that this system provides unlimited space for storage.
The thermal block can be used with several different types of PCR reaction tubes, it can hold up to 96 tubes with a volume of 0.2ml or up to 77 tubes with a volume of 0.5ml. Even if multi-well PCR plates are the task: you can use them and you do not have to change the thermal block.
